Legendary singers have somehow been associated with Jacksonville and the LaVilla neighborhood of Jacksonville was known as the ?Harlem of the South? because of the music scene that was dominated by performers like Ella Fitzgerald, Scat singers like Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. The orchestra offers a wide range of genres of music both Classical and Contemporary. Children are encouraged to engage in the orchestra by participating in the various interactive programs, ensemble performances and concerts that the orchestra regularly hosts.

Great Bistros and restaurants offer fine dining for every palate. The best French, Spanish, Italian, and Greek cuisine can be found at Bistro Aix. The riverside Chart House offers a spectacular view of the St. John?s River and the city skyline and is also an architectural marvel in itself! The Chart House is famous for elegant dining.
